Who publishes this site

TidyTrackers is published under the TidyTrackers brand as a small independent project. We are not a law firm, a government agency, an accountant or a licensed fire-safety or health-inspection business, and nothing here is professional advice. We also publish on YouTube.

What it covers

Two kinds of pages: (1) printable and spreadsheet trackers, charts and logs (budgets, chore charts, maintenance and compliance logs), some free and some paid; and (2) reference guides that answer cost and requirement questions for small businesses, published on related sites such as ExtinguisherCost (fire extinguisher service costs) and FoodTruckReady (food truck permits and inspection checklists).

How content is researched and sourced

• Every price, fee or legal requirement on our guides is taken from a public page that we link next to the figure, such as an agency fee schedule or a vendor's published price list.
• Each guide has a "How we researched this" box listing its sources and the date we last checked them.
• If we cannot trace a figure to a public source we remove it rather than guess. Prices we quote are examples from named vendors or agencies, not quotes for your situation.
• Requirements vary by state, county and city. Always confirm with your local authority before acting.

How often pages are updated

Pages show a "Last updated" date. Fee and price pages are re-checked against their linked sources when we update them, and we revise or remove a figure when the source changes or disappears. Fee schedules change, so check the linked source before you pay.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an out-of-date figure, tell us through the contact page, with the page address and the source you are comparing against. We check it against the source and correct the page, and we update the "Last updated" date when we do.
